These General Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all contracts between SciBridge GmbH, Pestalozzistraße 25, 22305 Hamburg, Germany (hereinafter “Rigora”, “we”, “us”), and customers who order scientific editing, thesis-editing, or statistics-support services through our website rigora.net.
SciBridge GmbH is registered at Amtsgericht Hamburg under HRB 186336. Managing Director: Priv.-Doz. Dr. med. Sied Kebir.
Rigora provides three services for the life sciences, each described on the corresponding pricing page:
We do not offer ghostwriting. For editing and thesis services we do not write your work or generate content; for statistics support we do not invent or alter data and do not guarantee any particular or statistically significant result. We do not guarantee acceptance or a specific outcome of any journal submission or thesis examination.
By submitting the order form on our website and completing payment via Stripe, you make a binding offer to purchase the selected editing service. The contract is formed when we send a confirmation email acknowledging your order. The prices displayed on our website are final prices. As a small business under § 19 of the German VAT Act (Kleinunternehmerregelung), we do not charge value-added tax (VAT); no VAT is shown on our invoices.
Payment is processed securely via Stripe (Stripe, Inc., USA). Payment is due immediately upon placing the order. All prices are stated in euros (EUR) as final prices. In accordance with the small-business regulation (§ 19 UStG), no VAT is charged or shown. No additional fees apply.
Turnaround begins when we receive your manuscript, thesis, or data by email, not at the time of payment. The agreed turnaround time depends on the selected service and tier:
Deliverables are sent to your email address as file attachments. Delivery is considered complete when the email has been sent to the address you provided.
On-time guarantee: If we fail to deliver within the agreed turnaround time, the service is free of charge and you will receive a full refund.
Manuscript pricing covers manuscripts up to 7,000 words (excluding references). Thesis pricing covers Bachelor's theses up to 12,000 words, Master's theses up to 25,000 words, and doctoral theses up to 60,000 words (excluding references). If your manuscript or thesis exceeds the applicable limit, a surcharge applies (manuscripts: EUR 75 per additional 1,000 words; theses: EUR 50 per additional 1,000 words), and we will confirm the exact cost before you pay.
Statistics support is priced by project rather than by word count. The flat-fee packages cover one study or dataset of typical complexity; larger or more complex projects (for example multilevel models, Bayesian analysis, or network meta-analysis) receive a fixed quote, agreed in a free scoping call before payment.
We offer an unconditional 7-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied within 7 days of delivery, you will receive a full refund without conditions. This commercial guarantee exists in addition to, and does not limit, your statutory rights.
Selected tiers include re-work within 180 days after delivery: Manuscript Reviewer Ready, Master's Thesis Standard, and Doctoral Thesis Standard include 1 round of re-editing; Manuscript Fast Track, Master's Thesis Express, and Doctoral Thesis Express include 2 rounds, with a 48-hour priority response. For statistics support, reviewer statistics-response support or a re-analysis after delivery can be arranged by agreement. Other tiers do not include re-work rounds, but the 7-day money-back guarantee applies to all services.
If you are a consumer within the meaning of § 13 BGB, you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day of the conclusion of the contract.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g., a letter sent by post or email). You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory.
Contact for withdrawal:

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction.
The right of withdrawal expires prematurely if we have fully performed the service (i.e., the deliverables have been delivered to you) and you have given your prior express consent to begin the service before the withdrawal period has expired, and you acknowledged that you would lose your right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed (§ 356 Abs. 4 BGB).
By placing your order, you expressly consent to the commencement of the service before the expiry of the withdrawal period and acknowledge that your right of withdrawal will expire upon full delivery of the deliverables.
