Terms & Conditions
1. Scope and Provider
These General Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all contracts between SciBridge GmbH, Pestalozzistraße 25, 22305 Hamburg, Germany (hereinafter “Rigora”, “we”, “us”), and customers who order scientific editing, thesis-editing, statistics-support, or course services through our website rigora.net.
SciBridge GmbH is registered at Amtsgericht Hamburg under HRB 186336. Managing Director: Priv.-Doz. Dr. med. Sied Kebir.
2. Services
Rigora provides four service categories for the life sciences, each described on the corresponding offer page:
- Manuscript editing, Submission Ready, Reviewer Ready, and Fast Track. Editing includes language improvements, structural feedback, and, depending on the tier, a strategic editor report, figure & table review, target-journal recommendation, cover letter, and plagiarism check.
- Thesis editing for Bachelor's, Master's, and doctoral theses. Bachelor's and Master's are offered as Standard and Express; the doctoral level is offered as Essential, Standard, and Express. Editing covers language, clarity, structure, and consistency; higher tiers add structural/argumentation review and figure & table review.
- Statistics support, statistical analysis and publication-ready figures (Core Analysis, Analysis + Figures, Express, and a standalone Sample-size & Power calculation). We run the analysis you specify on the data you provide and deliver a reproducible package (code, outputs, figures, and methods/results text).
- Courses and live online events on scientific or medical professional topics. The offer page states the date, format, included recordings or materials, participation requirements, and price.
We do not offer ghostwriting. For editing and thesis services we do not write your work or generate content; for statistics support we do not invent or alter data and do not guarantee any particular or statistically significant result. We do not guarantee acceptance or a specific outcome of any journal submission or thesis examination.
3. Contract Formation
By submitting the order form and completing the payment step on Stripe, you make a binding offer to purchase the selected service. Before the final payment button, the selected service and total price are displayed. The final Stripe button clearly indicates that the order creates an obligation to pay. The contract is formed when we send a confirmation email acknowledging your order. The prices displayed on our website are final prices. As a small business under § 19 of the German VAT Act (Kleinunternehmerregelung), we do not charge value-added tax (VAT); no VAT is shown on our invoices.
4. Payment
Payment is processed securely via Stripe (Stripe, Inc., USA). Payment is due immediately upon placing the order. All prices are stated in euros (EUR) as final prices. In accordance with the small-business regulation (§ 19 UStG), no VAT is charged or shown. No additional fees apply.
5. Delivery
Turnaround begins when we receive your manuscript, thesis, or data by email, not at the time of payment. The agreed turnaround time depends on the selected service and tier:
- Manuscript, Submission Ready: 72 hours; Reviewer Ready: 48 hours; Fast Track: 24 hours
- Bachelor's thesis, Standard: 7 days; Express: 48 hours
- Master's thesis, Standard: 7 days; Express: 48 hours
- Doctoral thesis, Essential: 14 days; Standard: 7 days; Express: 72 hours
- Statistics, Core Analysis and Analysis + Figures: approx. 7 days; Express: 48 hours; Sample-size & Power calculation: approx. 48 hours. For larger or more complex projects, the turnaround is agreed individually in a free scoping call before payment.
- Courses and live online events take place on the date stated on the offer page. Access details are sent by email before the event. Recordings or course materials are provided only where the offer expressly includes them and for the stated availability period.
Deliverables are sent to your email address as file attachments or secure links. Delivery is considered complete when the email has been sent to the address you provided. If Rigora cancels a course or live event, you may choose an offered replacement date or receive a full refund. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
On-time guarantee: If we fail to deliver within the agreed turnaround time, the service is free of charge and you will receive a full refund.
6. Scope and Word-Count Limits
Manuscript pricing covers manuscripts up to 7,000 words (excluding references). Thesis pricing covers Bachelor's theses up to 12,000 words, Master's theses up to 25,000 words, and doctoral theses up to 60,000 words (excluding references). If your manuscript or thesis exceeds the applicable limit, a surcharge applies (manuscripts: EUR 75 per additional 1,000 words; theses: EUR 50 per additional 1,000 words), and we will confirm the exact cost before you pay.
Statistics support is priced by project rather than by word count. The flat-fee packages cover one study or dataset of typical complexity; larger or more complex projects (for example multilevel models, Bayesian analysis, or network meta-analysis) receive a fixed quote, agreed in a free scoping call before payment.
7. Money-Back Guarantee
We offer an unconditional 7-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied within 7 days of delivery, you will receive a full refund without conditions. This commercial guarantee exists in addition to, and does not limit, your statutory rights.
Selected tiers include re-work within 180 days after delivery: Manuscript Reviewer Ready, Master's Thesis Standard, and Doctoral Thesis Standard include 1 round of re-editing; Manuscript Fast Track, Master's Thesis Express, and Doctoral Thesis Express include 2 rounds, with a 48-hour priority response. For statistics support, reviewer statistics-response support or a re-analysis after delivery can be arranged by agreement. Other tiers do not include re-work rounds, but the 7-day money-back guarantee applies to all services.
8. Right of Withdrawal (Widerrufsbelehrung)
8.1 Right of Withdrawal
If you are a consumer within the meaning of § 13 BGB, you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day of the conclusion of the contract.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision by an unequivocal statement, for example by letter or email. You may also use our permanently available electronic withdrawal function. We immediately confirm receipt of an electronic withdrawal by email. You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory.
Contact for withdrawal:
SciBridge GmbH
Pestalozzistraße 25, 22305 Hamburg
Email: info@rigora.net
Phone: +49 40 41188460
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
8.2 Effects of Withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction.
8.3 Early Expiry of Right of Withdrawal
For services, the right of withdrawal expires when we have fully performed the service only if you expressly requested that performance begin before the withdrawal period expired and acknowledged that you would lose the right of withdrawal upon full performance (§ 356 Abs. 5 BGB). For digital content that is not supplied on a tangible medium, the right of withdrawal may expire when performance begins only under the separate requirements of § 356 Abs. 6 BGB, including your prior express consent, your acknowledgment of the loss of the right, and our contractual confirmation.
The request for an early start and the acknowledgment are obtained through a separate optional checkbox. Leaving it unchecked does not prevent the order. In that case, performance begins after the withdrawal period unless another lawful basis permits an earlier start.
8.4 Model Withdrawal Form

9. Confidentiality
Your manuscript, thesis, and any data you send us are treated as strictly confidential. We do not share them with third parties. Files are stored on EU-based servers and deleted after project completion. For statistics support, please send only pseudonymized data; a data-processing agreement (AVV/DPA) or a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) is available on request.
10. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body, or health, under the German Product Liability Act, and where another mandatory statutory rule requires unlimited liability. For a slightly negligent breach of an essential contractual duty, liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract. An essential contractual duty is one whose performance makes proper execution of the contract possible and on whose observance the customer may regularly rely. Otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded. We do not guarantee journal acceptance, examination results, or a particular statistical result.
11. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in your manuscript, thesis, data, and results remain with you. We do not claim any rights to your work. We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
13. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. If you are a consumer habitually resident in the EU, you also benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence. We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (Verbraucherschlichtungsstelle). Note: the European Commission's online dispute resolution (ODR) platform was discontinued in July 2025 and is no longer available.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue to be valid and enforceable.
